We left Taipei and the North of Taiwan and made our way along the West coast to the South. Following invites from Servas hosts and their relatives as well as our friend Hsiang, who we had originally met in Jordan, we visited Zhudong, Beipu, Puli, Taichung and Tainan. We discover a country which derived it’s rich culture from a long history of Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese influences as well as it’s own indigenous heritage. And we experience the most friendly and open-minded people of our entire trip offering us unmatched hospitality.
