10 hours stop-over in Dubai: A good chance to see something of the city. Last time I stopped over I went to the well know Dubai mall with its tallest towers and water plays. Its all nice and good but Vegas is more impressive.

This time we went to Old Dubai, the neighborhoods of Deira and Bur Dubai separated by the Dubai Creek. Besides historic buildings, bazaars and the Dubai museum you can see traditional wooden cargo boats being loaded up to the gills. Their destination is Iran across the Persian Gulf.

Its a 20 minutes metro ride away from the airport and since we touched down at 5 AM we enjoyed the city waking up and coming to life.
